After our company's fun run(October 15,2011), we settled to stay at SANDTRAP, I have 3 C’s that would best describe the place Comfy, Cozy and Comfortable. We had lunch by the pool, apparently, its Trent’s Birthday so we celebrated it there instead.

Our menu; Fish and chips, Gambas, Beef Stew, Pork Kebab and Seafood Guisado.

We shared identical smirk, especially, we had gobbled good food.
They offer wide variety of cuisine that is good in the pocket as well. I had sizzling gmabas that time, not the typical gambas I tasted but this one is different, maybe because their spices are chopped big with a little sauce. I have savored their beef stew and I liked it better. It has carrots and potatoes and when you chew the beef, it melts inside your mouth because it is well cooked. As per Micah; the fish and chips doesn’t taste good. Tsk! And Irene added, maybe because the owner and some of their customer’s are foreigner. The pork kebab and pansit guisado is tasty too.

Complete cast from L-R: Birthday boy Trent, Lloyd, Moi, Irene, Jayson and Micah.

Thank you guys for saving my weekend, till our next chow! =)

SANDTRAP is located at
Paseo Saturnino,
Maria Luisa Road,
Banilad, Cebu City

Food Addict!

It started on 10th of October 2011, when my friends and I have decided to compile all the food we munched through in different places and restaurant. May it be inside a carenderia, all-you-can-eat, to a lavish fine-dining experience (drooooooooling).

Instead of building a new blog account, I have made up my mind to just merge my blog and my friends'. It doesn't make any unlikeness at all though.
Meet my two gorgeous girlfriends, Irene and Micah.

Acknowledge your father and reciprocate his love for you!

A father is someone you want to grow up to be like.
A father is your friend, philosopher and guide - someone you can always look up to.
Having the love of a father, the support of a gentle protective hand guiding you through all the tumultuous states of life is one of the greatest blessings that one can ever receive in a lifetime.
He makes sure that you abide by what is being said to you at the cost of his appearing strict.
Father's Day is like so many of those other holidays that should really be celebrated
every day of the year. It is a special occasion to acknowledge the unconditional love
and protection proffered by our fathers.

It would be interesting to know how Father's Day came into practice and celebrated worldwide with an equal sincerity and respect as any other significant holidays. Here's a short history on the holiday, and meaning of the different colors of roses to be worn that Day.
About 4,000 years ago a young boy named Elmusu wished his Babylonian father good health and a long life by carving a Father's Day message on a card made out of clay. No one knows what happened to Elmesu or his father, but the tradition of having a special day honoring fathers has continued through the years in countries across the world.
The Countries, where the Catholic Church were of significant influence on the culture of the society, Father's Day is celebrated on St. Joseph's Day (March 19). However, a more secular celebration which is not associated with any religion is followed in recent times to highlight the increased diversity among people from all over the globe coexisting together in one place.

Father's Day is celebrated popularly on 3rd Sunday in June in many parts of the world. The idea for creating a day for children to honor their fathers began in Spokane, Washington. A woman by the name of Sonora Smart Dodd thought of the idea for Father's Day while listening to a Mother's Day sermon in 1909. Having been raised by her father, Henry Jackson Smart, after her mother died, Sonora wanted her father to know how special he was to her. It was her father that made all the parental sacrifices and was, in the eyes of his daughter, a courageous, selfless, and loving man. Sonora's father was born in June, so she chose to hold the first Father's Day celebration in Spokane, Washington on the 19th of June, 1910.

In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the third Sunday in June as Father's Day. President Nixon, in 1972, established a permanent national observance of Father's Day to be held on the third Sunday of June. So Father's Day was born as a token of love and gratitude that a daughter cherishes for her beloved father.

Acknowledge your father and reciprocate his love for you!! Happy Father’s Day to your DAD.

And to the greatest Father in the world, I love you Pa..

At 26..

We gonna party like it's my
B I R T H D A Y !

26 years, and still rockin'!

Daylight has faded, darkness win through the night.
The whole thing is in complete silence.
You can only hear frog’s clattering, and firefly readily settled in.
Stars’ are starting to polish same goes with the moon.
They shine like diamonds in the sky glamorous and enthralling.

The night reminds me of the time when I feel so alone.
Horde with dilemma and plight, that even leads me to peril.
Insecurities crop up as a result of emptiness,
The night whispers how wicked life is.

May the comfort of the night give me enough valors to conquer my frustrations.
No matter how disappointing it may bring.
Let the night be my strength!!

As I bathe myself to sleep, I want to feel soothe in the night.
Tranquil, serene and calm are the exact utterance to illustrate.
Tomorrow when I wake up, a new day will welcome me,
A day filled with gladness and optimism.

Bushed For A Day!

I’m dead tired. Yes! Tired. I feel weak, exhausted, and sluggish at present.
My day starts as early as 5Am, I normally woke up around 1Pm due to NOC shift that ends at 1Am.
Early today we had football practice from 6Am-10Am.
We had some drills and rigid training to keep fit for the competition this coming May.
The heat of the sun destabilized my system, I’m not as sturdy as I used to before and
I easily get sapped (whew!). After practice we went to the tailoring shop to have our uniforms done had our brunch then head home.
When I got home I had a quick bath then sleep at 11:30Am. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to snooze well.

After 3 hours, my phone alarmed to remind myself to get ready for work.
My eyes are still itching to sleep and my body doesn’t want to get up to bed just yet.
I even hauled myself to go to work, such a lazy day.
When on my way to work I can imagine how dragging the situation would look like and
I wasn’t wrong, just the way I imagined it.
I’m totally knocked down, brewed coffee doesn’t help at all, and even my colleagues’ craziest antics didn’t work either.
I was like wanting to squeal aloud to keep up and sob as hard as I could to get through it.

I just can’t wait to go home. I’m totally dead tired now. I don’t have the strength to get through the day.
I’m crying out for help, help to keep going for another hour.
Clock is ticking rapidly and my brain is not functioning any longer.
I was once told by my guy that each time I encounter terrible situations to always think of happy thoughts, he was right actually.
Like him, I was build to last.
Well, this could be an awful day for me but at least I never quit.
time has to hurry through every circumstances though.
And I say, let’s call it a day! **Wink.

Blast From The Past

Just when we started the day at work, my colleagues are singing this song and I was kind of fascinated.
I would only hear this type songs on a Sundays where radio stations usually plays aged tracks.
I am a music lover, I listen to almost all genres.
And I just so love it because we are hallowed with creative artist who can come up with fantastic works.

Little did I know that songs from the past are superlative.
They are incomparable and they are songs that come from the heart.

Here it is…

Sad Movies

Boney M
Sad movies always make me cry
Sad movies always make me cry

He said he had to work, so I went to the show alone.
They turned down the lights and turned the projector on.
And just as the news of the world started to begin,
I saw my darling and my best friend walking in.

Although I was sitting right there they didn'n see me.
And so they both sat right down in the front of me.
And when he kissed her lips then I almost died.
And in the middle of the colour cartoon I started to cry.

Oh Sad movies always make me cry
Sad movies always make me cry
Sad movies always make me cry
Sad movies always make me cry

And so I got on up and slowly I walked on home,
And Mama saw the tears and said "Baby what is wrong".
And so just to keep from telling her a lie,
I just said "Sad movies makes me cry".

Oh Sad movies always make me cry
Sad movies always make me cry
Sad movies always make me cry
Sad movies always make me cry

Raindrop Mystery

Once I was a kid,

I always thought that raindrops
came from a fairy place.
In trees, in planes and all the rays
dropping through the sky ways
to wash the good earth’s face.

 But as I grow,
all I knew that rain is only river
and frost and dew and snow
 will up and flow.
To make clouds more than two.

And when the clouds will turn like hall,
they gather and fill every hole.
They call the troll.
But if there isn’t room for all,
and the raindrops will fall and fall.

Pursuing Dreams

An adviser, a leader, a mentor.
It’s our accounts managers' last day yesterday,
He has been an inspiration to the team.
His simple insights give us enthusiasm to work hard.
Whatever his comings and goings are, hope he can beat it.
Keep dreaming, keep believing, boss!

Here is something for you..

We’ve only just begun to work,
To party and to make fun.
Like Roses in a vase
Full of scent, filled with tint
Spreadth the room towards its endth

Changes at their best
From the east to the west
Neither one can erase
What they’ve traced to the finest

Some roses may have withered,
Some petals have been parted.
Let no one be agitated
For thy essence always be remembered
We've only just begun.

Let the Sunshine In!

Summer is up. However, it has been raining for days, it’s quite a hassle going to work since I commute everyday.
I have to go through intense traffic, and have to insert into a jam-packed jeepney ride.
Not only that, I have to bring parasol with me [which I hate doing] because of the changing weather conditions.
Well, that’s what we get of having a tropical climate.

Everybody is busy planning where to go away this summer, a few who can meet the expense of those luxurious hotels and resorts,
others go Island hopping  and some just nearby metropolis to cut their expenses.
Whichever means they opt to so long as they get to have pleasurable moment under the scorching heat of the sun.

Summer is the best time for everyone to unwind, to get away with our frantic schedule at work or a stiff thesis at school.
It’s time to see good old friends, visit a family member who’s in the province, and get to meet someone who is a stranger. [opppss.. for single only]

At the end of the day all you ever wanted is to be relaxed, sip your favorite smoothies,
get your feet on the alluring white sand, hear the waves as if they are chanting on you and smell the summer sea breeze.
What are you waiting for, get those fabulous bikinis and hop in to the beach and get those tan lines.

We still have ample time to prepare, Let the rain pour to its limit. Tomorrow, when we get up to bed the sun will greet us with its radiance.
Have a superb sizzling summer everyone!

Give It A Try

I’m no good at writing; I don’t have pleasant ideas to inscribe.
I was thinking why not give it a try. Who knows, I have this unseen flair to share to everyone.

Let’s get it on!
